*3i **GmbH** is seeking a full time Technical Support Specialist to join

its expanding team in Paris, France.  The ideal candidate is familiar with

microscopy systems, is able to work with minimal guidance, possesses strong

technical and problem-solving abilities, provides excellent customer

service and is highly organized. The position requires extensive travel. *

 

*Qualifications*

 

–

*Bachelor’s degree in electrical and/or optical engineering (FH or adequate

qualification) *

– *Experience in microscopy and biomedical sciences preferred*

– *Extensive experience with computers and software programs*

 

 

*Duties & Responsibilities*

 

 

– *Provide technical service and support of microscope-based imaging

systems in Europe via email, telephone, web conference and onsite visits*

– *Travel to customer sites to provide support, software and hardware

installation, systemic troubleshooting, basic hardware repair, equipment

relocation, annual system optimization and preventive maintenance*

– *Assist with final assembly and quality assurance testing of

microscopy systems*

– *Act as initial point of contact providing technical support to

scientists at biomedical research laboratories*

– *Document support issues and manage the reconciliation process via a

case tracking system*

– *Provide support to scientific sales team*

– *Represent the company at industry trade shows, scientific courses and

demos*
