Porto AFM Training Workshop 2017
The course will run from the 10th to 13th April. This is a training workshop, aimed at any researcher or scientist, who wants to learn about AFM, or increase their knowledge of the technique. Following the successful courses that have run since 2011, the course will includes several hours hands-on training in acquiring images with the atomic force microscope as well as AFM data processing.

This course is an introduction to image processing and analysis, with a focus on biologically relevant examples. The attendees will learn the fundamentals of image analysis including how to do basic Macro programming in Fiji (ImageJ) for automated batch analysis of images, use different software solutions for image analysis (Ilastik for example), and will be introduced to visualization and explorative data analysis after extraction of numerical data from images.
