June 2018

16th annual High-Content Analysis as a part of World Preclinical Congress 2018

June 20, 2018 - June 21, 2018 (Deadline: June 18, 2018)
The Westin Copley Place, 10 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02116, USA + Google Map

High-content analysis (HCA) provides the ability to study many cellular features simultaneously and has the power to revolutionize drug discovery, especially as it is applied to more physiologically relevant models. Complex biological pathways may be explored, drug efficacy predicted, and ultimately, attrition rate reduced; however, challenges remain as these complex assays push the field forward. Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s High-Content Analysis conference will cover applications of HCA in preclinical drug discovery, challenges of the high-content screening environment, and HCS in immuno-oncology.

New Developments in Speech Sensing and Imaging Workshop

June 23, 2018 (Deadline: February 21, 2018)
School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon

Articulatory data are critical to our understanding of speech production, but investigating the vocal tract is a challenging task because the articulators differ widely in their anatomy and physiology. In recent times, engineering physics and biomedical engineering have been revolutionizing the way we record, visualize, and measure the function of some organs of the human body using, for example, photoacoustic imaging or microwave tomography. However, most novel methods and technologies in medical imaging are not designed with the investigation of…
