Crick EM Symposium: Focus on Correlative Imaging Across Scales, 15-19 July 2019, Francis Crick Institute, UK
Continuing on from our 2017 Crick EM Symposium that celebrated the opening of the EM facilities, we will hold a two-day symposium exploring the impact of correlative imaging on biomedical research across scales. The symposium will include talks from research and technology leaders in imaging, from the macromolecular through to the whole organism scales, with a particular emphasis on how these new techniques can be applied to biomedical research. We will also hear about cutting edge developments in correlative imaging and big microscopy…

Junior Scientist Workshop on Biological Optical Microscopy
Organized by Ilaria Testa, Kaspar Podgorski, and Philipp Keller, this interactive workshop for graduate students and postdocs will explore the near future of optical microscopy in the biological sciences. Its collaborative format will bring together researchers from diverse backgrounds with a common interest in improved optical techniques for the biological sciences. We will discuss open challenges and strategies for addressing them, emerging imaging methods and modalities, and ways in which computational and closed-loop approaches can be used to study biology. We encourage applications…

Seeing is Believing – Imaging the Molecular Processes of Life
Registration is not yet open for this event. If you are interested in receiving more information please register your interest. Symposium Overview The processes of life are naturally dynamic in space and time from the atomic to the organismal level. The rapid development of imaging methods across this full scale of biological organisation is revolutionising our ability to visualise the inner workings of proteins, protein complexes, organelles, cells, tissues, organs and whole organisms. Being able to see biological processes unfold…
