Roadmap Infrastructure grant to Danish BioImaging – 49M DKK

In 2020 DBI applied to get on the national roadmap for research infrastructure and was successful. In 2022 the success was fortunately followed up by the Ministy’s decision to fund the proposal.

Now the work has begun to make DBI a distributed and multimodal national research infrastructure, ensuring that all life scientists in Denmark have open access to the bioimaging technologies they need to boost excellence in research, educationand innovation.

On February 1st the consortium held a Kick-off meeting to begin the organization of the infrastructure. More information about the work will be posted in the newsletter and on the website – stay tuned!

Please find the newsletter here

Highlights:

  • We will have two DBI meetings in 2021. One virtual May 19-20 and hopefully a physical meeting in the fall.
  • Within this newsletter, we ask you to participate in a short survey about your needs and applications of bioimage analysis. You can read more and find the survey here
  • Danish National Metrology Institute (DFM) reaches out to DBI members for your input into prioritizing the direction for the new traceable fluorescence infrastructure they are establishing. Read more here
  • Danish BioImaging is in new Roadmap for Research Infrastructure in Denmark

DBI survey on Image Analysis Needs in Life Science Research in Denmark

As part of DBIs Work Group 1 on Image analysis tools and data management we are conducting a short survey to better understand the needs and the current status of the bioimage analysis in life sciences at Danish research institutions.

Please help us by by answering the survey here

You will be anonymous by default: we will only use statistics.

If you have any questions or want to take part in developing new activities within this area please contact the leader of Work Group 1 Daniel Wüstner, SDU (wuestner(at)bmb.sdu.dk)

DFM reaches out to DBI – survey on the needs for a new traceable fluorescence infrastructure

As a GTS institute, Danish National Metrology Institute (DFM), has received support from the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science (Uddannelses- og Forskningsstyrelsen ) to establish traceability for fluorescence measurements in Denmark. Our goal is to assist in establishing traceable, quantitative, comparable fluorescence data.

DFM hereby calls for your input into prioritizing the direction for the new traceable fluorescence infrastructure. DFM is interested in your view as to what challenges you have within fluorescence measurements as well as your present and future needs.

There are only 7 questions to answer. It will take 1-2 minutes. Please find the survey here

The survey is anonymous. We only collect the responses and no personal information. The survey closes on April 1st at 4 pm.

Would you like to hear more, or discuss your challenges with fluorescence measurements? Are you interested in a potential collaboration with DFM or a pilot study? Reach out to Research Scientist Olga Rodenko (oro(at)dfm.dk)
