SUMMARY:Proteins and Circuits in Memory
DESCRIPTION: \nDespite huge efforts and technical advances in neuroscience\, the molecular mechanisms underlying memory formation\, storage\, and recall are still far from understood. At this meeting\, world-leading researchers within the field are invited to present their latest research and the status of current knowledge\, identify key scientific questions\, and discuss new directions of memory research.\nJunior researchers are strongly encouraged to participate\, as this meeting presents a unique opportunity to discuss their projects with experts within the field and establish valuable contacts. \nConference website & Registration: promemo.au.dk/pcim19 \nRegistration & Abstract submission deadline: Tuesday 29 January 2019 \n  \nANNOUNCEMENT OF THE 2019 BRAIN PRIZE AWARDEE(S)\nThe program will feature former winners of The Brain Prize and Nobel Prize in addition to other prominent speakers. Furthermore\, we are very excited that the Official Announcement of The Brain Prize Winner(s) 2019 on 5 March is included as part of the program. The announcement is followed by a reception for The Brain Prize Winner(s) and all participants. \n\nCONFIRMED SPEAKERS\n\nThomas Südhof\, Stanford University\nRichard Morris\, University of Edinburgh\nJohn Hardy\, University College London\nValentin Nägerl\, University of Bordeaux\nJinhyun Kim\, Korean Institute of Science and Technology\nNa Ji\, University of California\, Berkeley\nJoshua Johansen\, RIKEN Center for Brain Science\nSheena Josselyn\, Hospital for Sick Children & University of Toronto\nSeth Grant\, University of Edinburgh\nJohn Kuriyan\, University of California\, Berkeley\nCristina Alberini\, New York University\nFrancis Lee\, New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine\nRadu Aricescu\, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology\n\n\nTHE MEETING IS HOSTED BY:\nThe Danish National Research Foundation (DNRF\, www.dg.dk) \nThe Brain Prize (www.thebrainprize.org)\n \nCenter for Proteins in Memory – PROMEMO (www.promemo.au.dk).
