SUMMARY:ESRIC’s international Super-Resolution Summer School 2018
DESCRIPTION:SRIC’s international Super-Resolution Summer School is back again in 2018. Our intensive training course will be taking place in Edinburgh over 5 days from Monday July 16th to Friday July 20th. You can register at our ESRIC RMS Event Page. \n \n  \nThe course kicks off with informal talks from world renowned super-resolution professionals. After they have laid the theoretical groundwork\, it is put into practise by our industry partners in a range of technology workshops covering all super-resolution microscopies. \nThe course takes just 36 delegates each year to ensure an informal and intimate course setting so participants gain maximum exposure to all course content. Outside the talks and workshops\, our evening Q&As over wine & canapes and our networking dinners\, provide an excellent opportunity to continue discussion with speakers and application specialists. A poster session also enables you to gain insights from the experts on how to apply super-resolution to your own work. \nWith delegates joining us from 16 different countries and almost all continents in 2017\, this is a truly international course aiming to not just enable learning but also facilitate collaboration through networking. \nThis year‘s program is still in development\, but will cover all of the available super-resolution imaging systems including single molecule localisation\, stimulated emission depletion and structured illumination microscopies\, as well as applications\, sample preparation and image analysis. \nThe summer school is aimed at researchers using or hoping to use super-resolution in the future with a solid understanding of fluorescence microscopy. Please register now to avoid disappointment as the course gets fully booked every year\, our deadline is February 28th for all submissions. \nThe course cost includes 5 night’s dinner\, bed and breakfast accommodation (optional)\, lunch and refreshments each day and two social dinners out in the city of Edinburgh. Since the 2017 event\, the ESRIC summer school has been co-organised with the RMS\, whose kind support mean we can offer RMS members a discounted registration fee. Course fees for 2018 are as follows: \nNon-Residential (RMS member rate) £550\nNon-Residential (non-member rate) £600\nResidential Sunday – Friday (RMS member rate) £800\nResidential Sunday – Friday (non-member rate) £850 \nFor an additional £50 you can stay an extra night and check out on the Saturday. Depending on your travel plans this may be required as the course runs up until 5pm on Friday 20th July.
