SUMMARY:Biological and pharmaceutical applications of CRS microscopy
DESCRIPTION:The Coherent Raman Scattering (CRS) conference in Odense is focused on Biological and pharmaceutical applications of CRS microscopy. The overarching goal of the conference will be to bring together the CRS microscopy community to facilitate exchange of knowledge between users and instrument developers. \n  \nCONFERENCE FLYER \nOpen session topics: \n\nNew developments in CRS microscopy\nApplications of CRS microscopy\nPharmaceutical applications of CRS and Raman microscopy\nBioimaging in skin\nOther chemically specific imaging techniques.\n\n  \nImportant dates \n\n\n\nRegistration and abstract submission start\nApril 15th\, 2019\n\n\nEarly bird registration deadline\nSeptember 10th\, 2019\n\n\nDeadline for abstract submission\nOctober 15th\, 2019\n\n\nHotel cancellation deadline\nOctober 1st\, 2019\n\n\n\nCoherent Raman Scattering microscopy is a new rapidly developing technique which uses the characteristic vibrational modes of molecules to facilitate fast\, chemically specific\, label free imaging of molecules in cells and tissues. \nSince the first CRS microscopes the development of instrumentation and applications has continued and CRS microscopy is at present transitioning from being a developing technique used by few specialists to a more consolidated method used by many. The overarching goal of the conference will be to bring together the CRS microscopy community to facilitate exchange of knowledge between users and instrument developers. It is thus our hope that in this meeting we can share experience\, knowledge and develop new imaging strategies helping to bridge the gap between instrument development and applications. Bringing together this community of students\, scientists\, and engineers to share the most recent insights and applications of CRS microscopy – from the perspective of their respective disciplines – will allow the sharing of new knowledge\, mutual learning\, and the opportunity to develop new collaborations.\nThe main focus of the conference will be on pharmaceutical and life science orientated applications such as drug delivery\, cancer diagnostics\, cell and tissue imaging. However\, topics such as biomedical\, food\, and materials science will also be covered and are welcome. \nThe three-day meeting will be followed by a half day hands-on workshop for Ph.D. students and others interested\, where participants will learn how to operate a CARS microscope\, how to prepare samples and analyze the obtained data. \n  \nConference is hosted at Odeon conference Center in Odense\, Denmark. \n  \n
