Description

The core facility Center for Advanced Bioimaging (CAB) Denmark (www.cab.ku.dk) offers its users a Super resolution microscope for 3D-SIM, TIRF and SMLM, confocal microscopes with freely tunable excitation and emission, including FLIM detectors and multiphoton excitation; a spinning disk microscope with EMCCD, a robot microscope as well as TEM and SEM. Your time will be devoted to equipment set-up and operation, equipment maintenance and development on one side, and to user-training, user assistance and method development on the other side.

Requirements

A university degree in Life Science (MSc.), especially biology, biotechnology or any associated field preferably with a Ph.D.

Required skills and personal qualities:

  • strong experience in advanced fluorescence microscopy techniques such as confocal and super resolution microscopy
  • experience in microscope control and acquisition software
  • good English language skills (both written and oral)
  • demonstrated record keeping and organization skills
  • ability to proactively plan maintenance work and increase microscope uptime and performance
  • attention to detail
  • a desire to learn, and a willingness to share knowledge
  • self-driven and organized
  • interested in a good collaborate with the partner center manager at North Campus
  • basic levels of image processing and analysis and experience with software such as ImageJ and Imaris
